In this topic, students will learn about the structure and workings of the U.S. Constitution. Students will learn about how a bill becomes a law, what each of the three branches is responsible for, and how they check and balance each other. They will explain how the federal and state governments are similar yet different and describe some of the ways that citizens participate in our republic (representative democracy).
